In this 12 hour live CE course you will be introduced to the art of hot stone massage.
The application of hot stones can be a benefit to your practice for multiple reasons, including:
- Pain relief
- Increases circulation
- Promotes deep relaxation
- Increases ROM
- Allows greater depth with less effort
- Charge more for sessions
You will learn how to treat conditions such as plantar fasciitis, chronic headaches, thoracic outlet syndrome and other conditions commonly found in your practice.
You will learn contraindications and considerations for hot stone massage as well as the types of stone and equipment needed and sanitation procedures.
After completion of this course you will be able to incorporate hot stone massage into any session or start offering full hot stone massages.
Each day you will be giving and receiving massage and most importantly HAVING FUN!
Please bring massage sheets (flat and fitted), pillow or bolster, face cradle cover and oil.
Students will have 1 hour for lunch
Cancellation Policy:
15 days prior to the workshop, you can receive a refund minus a $50 processing fee. Within 21 days to the workshop, no refunds are given outside of extenuating circumstances. If a refund is given there will be a $50 processing fee. You may find someone to take your place in the workshop or, if there is a waiting list and someone can take your place, you will receive a full refund.
If Keith cancels, students will receive a full refund.
Biography:
Keith Mulford has been practicing massage since 2009 and instructing at the Florida School of Massage since 2016. He brings his years of knowledge into the classroom, teaching Swedish massage, Chair massage, Neuromuscular Therapy and Sports Massage.
In 2011 he completed his certification in Integrative Massage and Personal Training. During his studies he became skilled in assessing and treating injuries, orthopedic testing, functional movement and specific bodywork treatments focusing on injuries.
His extensive studies in visceral massage and sports massage are reflected in his work with his clients. His passion for taking CEU classes has allowed him to find different tools to incorporate into his sessions so that he can better assist his clients needs and goals.
He has been incorporating hot stones in his practice since 2009 and enjoys seeing the benefits it can bring to each session.
