Certification Description

105 Hour (In)BodyMeant Somatic Massage Training/Certification will provide you with a functional understanding of the nervous system and how it is built to integrate all experiences, big and small, leading us to growth, reconciliation, empowerment, and purpose in all areas of life.

As your nervous system strengthens its capacity for parasympathetic responses, you are better positioned to experience your intuitive and (In)Bodied connection with the Divine consciousness of YOUR understanding.

National and state boards approve the in-person classes held at the Florida School of Massage for continuing education for massage therapists, a total of 105 hours over 19 months.

Who can take these classes?

Other practitioners, such as acupuncturists, psychologists, and personal trainers, and estheticians as well as the general population with an interest in how their spirituality and physiology intersect, are all invited to the (In)BodyMeant Somatic Integration Training.

Each two-day weekend class offers a deeper exploration of how the various regions of your body commonly hold onto stuck experiences and tension that can limit your ability to live out your life purpose and form deeper connections.

There is also a universal spiritual component. As you learn to listen with your body, your intuition is heightened, and you can connect with YOUR personal Divine guidance. I offer my connection with Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and God as an example. However, this work, and I personally, support ALL spiritual traditions where love, reconciliation, and peace are the primary focus and purpose.

The (In)BodyMeant practices are built out of 30 years of experience integrating how our nervous system engages with our Divine Connection and purpose to process our experiences and with each supported somatic integration, the client becomes more whole internally as well as more connected in a relaxed and confident way to the world.

I have worked with individuals from many different spiritual traditions and occupations and helped them (In)Body, a living experience of peace in the midst of chronic stress, overwhelm, and trauma, by applying these (In) Body Meant Somatic Integration Skills.

I am also drawing on my 3 years of experience in the funeral industry, serving as a reverend and grief integration somatic support specialist, which is, I believe, the highest level of trauma, so I have an extensive experience to share. It’s my goal to help you learn to support yourself and others as they walk through intense journeys.

For the Somatic Integration Certification from Adrienne Engel and (In)BodyMeant Therapies, there is more training to integrate.

3/4 of this work for the (In)BodyMeant Somatic Massage Certification is done through self-practice online. It is about you learning to partner with your nervous system and your divine connection to spirituality and combining those two aspects to allow experience to flow within you and integrate with a fresh and effective somatic approach.

8-hour – Introduction to Somatic Massage

In the introductory 8-hour class, you will review and practice the steps of an (In)Bodied integration. These lessons are pre-recorded, so you can see them before class and be prepared to practice with the group. You can also reference after class for ongoing development of these somatic skills. For state and national CEU requirements, completing the hours in class at FSM is sufficient for your hours. If you want to take this deeper and pursue an official InBodyMeant Somatic Massage Certification, there are three levels you can complete.

Level One: InBodyMeant Somatic Massage Beginning Practitioner

105 hr training CEU Training (In)BodyMeant Somatic Massage certification is completed once in person Live, or on-line with corresponding exams and submission of practice notes. You will establish a clear and functional capacity for facilitating the integration of tension, stress, and trauma by engaging the intersection and relationship between physiology and spirituality.
2 Complete Participate (In)Christ/Spirit 90-day Journals. The personal journal practice provides the internal foundation for somatic integration, both for yourself and when holding space for your clients.
1 case study completed. Here are the guidelines. We will offer support for writing and submission.

Level 2: InBodyMeant Somatic Massage Advanced Practitioner

The 105 hours completed for the second full cycle, being an assistantship. Paying 1/2 of the full tuition fee $175.00 per weekend, and participating as an assistant to new students to support the facilitation of the pace, patience, and awareness required to hold space for (In)Bodied Integrations.
4 additional complete Participate (In)Christ/Spirit 90-day Journals.

Level 3: InBodyMeant Somatic Massage Specialized Practitioner/ Educator Facilitator

This level is bringing your unique life experience to this work and then becomes a practitioner who shares that specialization with others.

Co-development of specialized training based on a specific patterns that your area of expertise will present. Will have Adrienne’s support to teach.
Two case studies focused on your specialization. Here are the guidelines. We will offer support for writing and submission.
