unnamed-3The Florida School of Massage instructors, team, and alumni have some words of wisdom they’d like to share. Some come from their favorite author and others from mom but all are shared from their heart to yours.

“Get out of your own way, and love yourself and watch.”

“I’ve always heard that our answers are within ourselves. Massage Therapy is an excellent avenue for going within and feeling – listening – finding those answers. As FSM taught me, I am the best person to know what is best for me and you are the best person to know what is best for you. So my advice is to listen deeply to yourself and surround yourself with those who encourage and support the unique unfolding of your life.”

What you believe in, and all your dreams.  The way you drink your tea.  How you decorate your home.  Your grocery list.  The food you make.  How your writing looks.  And the way you feel.  Life is art.”also- Plan accordingly, yes, more importantly, don’t wait to love and live now.”

Celebrate your loneliness.
But Celebrate YOU. ”

“This we have now is not imagination. This is not grief or joy. Not a judging state, or an elation, or sadness. Those come and go. This is the presence that doesn’t.” – Rumi

“I am inspired by the love and acceptance that transpires in a daily basis. And which allows a possibility for positive self growth and deep connections to others.”

“I would have to say that upon my first visit to the Florida School of Massage in November of 1989, I was immediately struck by the powerful work that was being done in the LMT program that they offered. Having just finished my undergraduate work in Sociology and Psychology, it was specifically the areas of personal growth, communication, self-empowerment, and Gestalt Therapy, and how they had so artfully woven it around the study of Massage Therapy that caught my attention.
I could see that this was not just a situation where a student came and studied anatomy, physiology, or kinesiology; or that they would simply be taught the methodology and techniques of a variety of massage therapy modalities.

I could clearly see that this was, and still very much is, a program where a student also gets an opportunity to learn about themselves, and if they want to, seize opportunities to really strengthen the parts that are essential to being a great therapist.

I am truly honored to have participated for the last twenty-two years in the further development and enhancing of our program and Student Clinic here at FSM.”
