Touch of Presence® Biodynamic Cranial Approach (BCA) is about orienting to the paradigm shift from a disposition of intervention to one of non-doing, trusting the inherent wisdom of the body and of the creative forces of life. William Sutherland, D.O., the founder of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field, wrote in his preface to the 1948 edition of The Cranial Bowl: “…allow the physiological function within to manifest its unerring potency, rather than the application of blind force from without.”

As soon as we cross the biodynamic threshold, we leave separation and duality for unifying wholeness. For example, we step aside from the linear, diagnostic, assessment and procedure to resting back and connecting with something that is larger than us and governs the whole of nature, which includes us. This unifying wholeness or orientation to “wholeness as health” becomes our perspective, our point of view, and resonant portal into deeper presence with naturally expanded perceptual capacity.

Unifying wholeness broadens our perspective and becomes the ground of healing potential on all levels. In other words, problems can seemingly self-correct in the accompaniment of the resonant presence of a practitioner who is orienting to the whole (to the health) rather than fixating solely on getting rid of the problem.

The student practitioner comes to know and understand this transformative process intimately as there is no bypassing in this work. It is not something you learn how to do, it’s about being.

“To know another human being in their essence, you don’t really need to know anything about them – their past, their history, their story. We confuse knowing ‘about’ with a deeper knowing that is non conceptual. Knowing ‘about’ and knowing are totally different modalities. One is concerned with form, the other with the formless. One operates through thought, the other through stillness.” ~Eckhart Tolle

Touch of Presence® BCA offers an approach that can stand on its own or be integrated with other modalities. You can participate equally as a seasoned practitioner or relatively new to the world of touch. More importantly, it potentially can become a path of realization in service of the full expression of your authentic self, and your gifts. For the good of whole.

“Indeed, those who have wings don’t need the ground.
But what about people? They live on the ground, not able to fly.
But they have wings. They do have wings!
These wings aren’t made of feathers and fluff.
But made of honor, virtue, and trust
Some wings are made of faithfulness in love.
Others of eternal enthusiasm
Somebody flies with the work dedication.
Somebody when taking care of others.
There are wings of songs or hope.
Either poetry or dream
It seems that people cannot fly…
But they have wings. They do have wings!”

~Lina Kostenko

Upon what wings do You fly?
