Most of us enjoy a juicy story, and this little story puts juice firmly back into the word juicy. After 25 years of using essential oils, every once in awhile something new comes across my radar and I find inspiration once again in the simple pleasures of nature. This year I came across the essence of orange, grapefruit, lemon, and lime. Citrus essences are essential oils pressed from the juice of the fruit instead of the peel. They are made by a special process to obtain the essential oil through evaporation and high speed spinning of the juice phase. The fruit is pressed and the oil comes out from the concentration of the juice. This is the essence essential oil, and the result is the compelling, delightful aroma of sweet, juicy fruit. You have to smell it to believe it!
The citrus essences are full of practical health promoting properties. By diffusing them in your home or office you can enjoy these therapeutic properties:
- Clean the air in your home or office
- Energize your activities
- Reduces tension and depression
- Exudes happy, outward energy
- Essences are anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-infectious
Even in north central Florida the leaves of many of our trees change with the seasons, and here on the edge of Paynes Prairie the air is now crisp. The morning mist rises and we usher in the end of another year. This month I am giving thanks for the simplicity of diffusing essential oils in my home and office.
