Front Desk Receptionist

Scope:

 The Front Desk administrative assistant will primarily serve as a conduit between the administrative staff and our Day/Night Program students during weekdays/nights (Monday through Thursday). Other reception-related duties and responsibilities will include greeting the public and various other tasks as described below.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Open and close the bookstore.
  2. Answer phones and provide information about the school.
  3. Complete sales in the bookstore.
  4. Assist bookstore patrons when bookstore manager is unavailable.
  5. Reorganize and lightly clean bookstore.
  6. Greet clients who are patronizing our professional and/or student clinics.
  7. Find and match available therapists for the professional clinic when clients call in.
  8. Close out the day’s bookstore income report.
  9. Assist instructors with any preliminary classroom needs.
  10. Assist instructors with room assignments that may come in by phone.
  11. Light cleaning: lobby and bookstore areas.
  12. Complete assigned projects as requested by peers and/or managers.
  13. Secure the building at night’s end.
  14. Take care of incoming and outgoing mail

Education:

Minimum: High School diploma or GED.

Associate’s degree or higher preferred, or equivalent years of experience.

This position is part-time and will require 12-18 hours average per week including some weeknights. Starting pay range is $10-$14/hourly.
