DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Keith Mulford\nDate: April 10-11th and August 7-8th 2027\nTime: 10 am – 4 pm\nLocation: Florida School of Massage\nCost: $260 ($225 for current FSM students)\nCE Hours: 12 Florida Live hours\nTo Register: Contact Sarah at sarahscato@hotmail.com or call/text 970-443-8339 \nIn this 12 hour live CE course you will be introduced to the art of hot stone massage. \nThe application of hot stones can be a benefit to your practice for multiple reasons\, including: \n\nPain relief\nIncreases circulation\nPromotes deep relaxation\nIncreases ROM\nAllows greater depth with less effort\nCharge more for sessions\n\nYou will learn how to treat conditions such as plantar fasciitis\, chronic headaches\, thoracic outlet syndrome and other conditions commonly found in your practice. \nYou will learn contraindications and considerations for hot stone massage as well as the types of stone and equipment needed and sanitation procedures. \nAfter completion of this course you will be able to incorporate hot stone massage into any session or start offering full hot stone massages. \nEach day you will be giving and receiving massage and most importantly HAVING FUN! \nPlease bring massage sheets (flat and fitted)\, pillow or bolster\, face cradle cover and oil. \nStudents will have 1 hour for lunch \nCancellation Policy: \nIf you cancel 21 days prior to the workshop\, you can receive a refund. If you cancel 15 days prior to the workshop\, no refunds are given outside of extenuating circumstances. If a refund is given\, there will be a $50 processing fee. You may find someone to take your place in the workshop or\, if there is a waiting list and someone can take your place\, you will receive a full refund. \nIf Keith cancels\, students will receive a full refund. \nBiography: \nKeith Mulford has been practicing massage since 2009 and instructing at the Florida School of Massage since 2016. He brings his years of teaching knowledge into the classroom while creating a fun learning environment.\n\n\nKeith started using hot stones in 2009 while working at a spa and has been incorporating them into his practice. He enjoys seeing the unique benefits it can bring to each session.\n\n\nIn 2011\, he completed his certification in Integrative Massage and Personal Training. During his studies he became skilled in assessing and treating injuries\, orthopedic testing\, functional movement and specific bodywork treatments focusing on injuries.\n\nHis extensive studies in visceral massage and sports massage are reflected in his work with his clients. His passion for taking CEU classes has allowed him to find different tools to incorporate into his sessions so that he can better assist his clients’ needs and goals.

Contact: Ariela at arielagrodner@yahoo.com \nDescription:\nLet’s learn the amazing “Seated Sequence” together! \nThai Massage is Flat without the knowledge of how to apply touch in the seated position. In this workshop\, we will learn the beautiful “Lotus Palm” version of seated along with an advanced focus on digestion and some fancy flips with deeper back bends for more flexible clients. \nThe deeper component of this workshop is the ability to assess how to create a session depending on who shows up. At this point we’ve learned the foot sequence\, the single leg sequence\, sideline sequence\, prone sequence\, double leg sequence and closing sequence. By adding the seated sequence we can pick and choose how we want to begin our session depending on our clients in balance. It is perfectly acceptable to leave out things and spend more time with other things. I called this class collage because we’ve reached a point in our practice where we can design our canvas specifically to the needs of our partner. \nWhen you apply for the course you will see the option for registering for all seven or just one. If you would like the discount since you’re applying for all seven and you missed the first few classes you can apply this tuition toward the next cycle. Either way you can either jump in one weekend at a time or you can commit to all seven and graduate at the next cycle. \nAbout Ariela Grodner\nAriela Grodner is the founder and lead instructor and practitioner at the Bodhi Sangha School of Thai Massage. She began her teaching career in 1992 in the south of India educating prisoners and tribal villagers in the benefits and practice of Shivananda Yoga. Then she spent many years cultivating the Buddhist meditation technique known as Vipassana. Later in following her Tao she discovered the joys of improvisational contact dance. After graduating from Florida School of Massage she discovered Thai Massage the perfect fusion of these techniques and practices. She is a certified Lotus Palm Practitioner (as taught by Kam Thye Chow) and has taught Thai Massage at the Florida School of Massage since 2004. \nAriela has developed over 300 hours of curriculum has published 9 books on this subject and travels nationally and internationally sharing her love of this art.
