In this workshop\, we will learn the beautiful “Lotus Palm” version of seated along with an advanced focus on digestion and some fancy flips with deeper back bends for more flexible clients. \nThe deeper component of this workshop is the ability to assess how to create a session depending on who shows up. At this point we’ve learned the foot sequence\, the single leg sequence\, sideline sequence\, prone sequence\, double leg sequence and closing sequence. By adding the seated sequence we can pick and choose how we want to begin our session depending on our clients in balance. It is perfectly acceptable to leave out things and spend more time with other things. I called this class collage because we’ve reached a point in our practice where we can design our canvas specifically to the needs of our partner. \nWhen you apply for the course you will see the option for registering for all seven or just one. Either way you can either jump in one weekend at a time or you can commit to all seven and graduate at the next cycle. \nAbout Ariela Grodner\nAriela Grodner is the founder and lead instructor and practitioner at the Bodhi Sangha School of Thai Massage. She began her teaching career in 1992 in the south of India educating prisoners and tribal villagers in the benefits and practice of Shivananda Yoga. Then she spent many years cultivating the Buddhist meditation technique known as Vipassana. Later in following her Tao she discovered the joys of improvisational contact dance. After graduating from Florida School of Massage she discovered Thai Massage the perfect fusion of these techniques and practices. She is a certified Lotus Palm Practitioner (as taught by Kam Thye Chow) and has taught Thai Massage at the Florida School of Massage since 2004. \nAriela has developed over 300 hours of curriculum has published 9 books on this subject and travels nationally and internationally sharing her love of this art.

We will extensively review the Thai 1 material\, both strengthening knowledge of the form itself and deepening awareness within the exercises\, in order to bring our consciousness to a more subtle level during the healing process. also we wil add more moves to each sequence. \nIf you missed phase 1 it’s OK to jump in to phase 2. Just know that there will be a lot of material covered. It is often that there will be students who missed the first class jumping in at this phase so Ariela will modify it for you. There’s also the option for a private tutor prior or after class if students would like support. \nIn our first weekend together we learned the watercolor phase. In this class we will begin to learn inking. I love the analogies of art. I perceive Thai-Massage as an art. In the inking aspect of this art we will tap into the energy lines and the acupressure points. We will review and also build. \nAbout Ariela Grodner\nAriela Grodner is the founder and lead instructor and practitioner at the Bodhi Sangha School of Thai Massage. She began her teaching career in 1992 in the south of India educating prisoners and tribal villagers in the benefits and practice of Shivananda Yoga. Then she spent many years cultivating the Buddhist meditation technique known as Vipassana. Later in following her Tao she discovered the joys of improvisational contact dance. After graduating from Florida School of Massage she discovered Thai Massage the perfect fusion of these techniques and practices. She is a certified Lotus Palm Practitioner (as taught by Kam Thye Chow) and has taught Thai Massage at the Florida School of Massage since 2004. \nAriela has developed over 300 hours of curriculum has published 9 books on this subject and travels nationally and internationally sharing her love of this art.

It is followed by a deeper dive opportunity in the form the Intensive Course which spans four 4-day weekends over the course of 1 year. \nThe Biodynamic Cranial Approach Introduction allows students to learn directly through felt-sense-experience by feelingly inhabiting the inner body space.  Rather than focusing on an outside-in model of learning (like focusing on craniosacral anatomy or treatment protocols) this course allows students to learn directly via supervised session exchanges and group discussions.  Embodiment and centering practices lay the foundation for the work\, and the “teaching” comes from the “inside-out” via the students’ direct experiences. \nDuring the Introduction Course students learn to touch from a grounded sense of present awareness in a way that is non-efferent (meaning ‘I don’t leave here to go over there’)\, non-doing (being practice\, not doing practice)\, and in tonal resonance with primary respiration and the natural inherent Health and Wisdom of the body. Great care and emphasis are made to cease all efferent activity and intervention\, encouraging students to stay with the feeling-tone (or felt-sense) of what is\, as it is.  Without the symptom-treatment overlay\, students rest in silence\, stillness\, and their natural state of presence and being to directly access primary respiration in their inner bodies.  This approach & teaching method mirror one of the instructions of Dr. William Sutherland – to “trust the tide”.  By allowing the inherent physiological forces within to guide the sessions and the learning\, the natural world and the Breath of Life begin to reveal themselves. \nThis course is Open to anyone wishing to develop personally or to investigate pursuing a committed professional track.  The Introductory Course is for all health practitioners\, psychotherapists\, movement therapists\, and bodyworkers new to cranial work.  It is required for all craniosacral practitioners or other biodynamic practitioners who wish to learn more about the type of biodynamics we teach before undertaking a committed yearlong study of Biodynamic Cranial Approach ~ Touch of Presence® Intensive. \nThis Introduction Course is the required prerequisite for the Biodynamic Cranial Approach Intensive — the year long immersion in this approach.
