By creating a sense of relief and safety in the neck and head\, we can positively impact the entire nervous system. In this class\, you will learn a simple yet profoundly effective session flow designed to help your clients’ heads\, necks\, and jaws relax within the safety of the parasympathetic response. These techniques have been essential in supporting my clients dealing with PTSD\, trauma\, grief and loss\, shock\, recovery from addictions\, and significant mental health challenges. \nThis 16-hour course will focus on the muscles supporting the Jaw and occipital region. Massage therapists will learn the anatomy of the automatic nervous system and how to track both sympathetic and parasympathetic responses. The parasympathetic response allows the body and mind to integrate tension patterns easily. Students will learn to engage the parasympathetic response using a combination of use of percussion tools\, such as a Theragun\, breathing\, movement\, awareness\, and intention.
