Contact: Email Mary at santellom@gmail.com or 352-378-3098 \nWorkshop description:\nBritish osteopath\, Arthur Lincoln Pauls\, the founder of Ortho-Bionomy developed a way of working with the cranium that combined the biomechanical model of Osteopathy with a bio-energy model to assist the cranium to return to balance\, release restrictive patterning\, and restore functional fluid movement. Imbalances in the cranium\, cranial membranes\, and cerebral spinal fluid can result in a wide range of distresses including headaches\, jaw pain\, equilibrium issues\, nervous system disfunctions\, irritability and the inability to resolve traumatic experiences. Over these three days we will address: \n\nThe cranial structures and their relationships\nThe fluid dynamics in the brain and spinal cord\nLearning the type and quality of contact to work with these structures\nDeveloping the skills to track both the mechanical and relational movement\nStimulating self-corrective mechanisms in the cranium\nThrough observation\, assessment and interaction we will develop our capacity to directly sense the physical and subtle energetic rhythms and movements in the cranial sacral system and incorporate Arthur’s spiral techniques to facilitate the client’s access to their own self-corrective capacity at all levels of being.\n\nAbout the Instructor:\nLuann Overmyer LMT has over forty years of experience with Ortho-Bionomy and has trained and taught extensively in the field of body awareness\, structural balance and wellbeing throughout the US\, Australia\, New Zealand\, and other countries throughout the world. She is the author of the book Ortho-Bionomy A Path to Self-Care which has already been translated into several languages. \nLuann is an outstanding teacher with an incredible depth of knowledge and experience.
