What sets it apart is the indirect gentleness of the work\, the curiosity of the practitioner\, the non-attachment to outcome\, and the recognition of the inherent capacity within each person to self-correct.  In this class we will explore new approaches to assessment\, how to develop our insight to clarify the issues in the tissues\, and to become more proficient at addressing the ongoing patterns that our clients present by adopting a more wholistic perspective.\nThis class offers a model for widening our perceptions for coherent assessment and treatment. Assessment\, observation and information exchange happen at many levels simultaneously because we are sensing organisms. How can we train ourselves to become aware of what we are sensing and begin to discipline our focus to see more clearly the physical\, emotional\, and postural patterns that our clients present.  \nSome Ortho-Bionomy experience is recommended but this class can be useful to anyone in a massage or healthcare practice. \nAbout the Instructor:\nLuann Overmyer LMT has over forty years of experience with Ortho-Bionomy and has trained and taught extensively in the field of body awareness\, structural balance and wellbeing throughout the US\, Australia\, New Zealand\, and other countries throughout the world.  She is the author of the book Ortho-Bionomy A Path to Self-Care which has already been translated into several languages.  \nLuann is an outstanding teacher with an incredible depth of knowledge and experience.
