Anne Marshall, BA, LMT and Valerie Broas, LMT are practicing Herbalists. They studied at Sage Mountain, an Herbal educational sanctuary run by world-renowned western herbalist, Rosemary Gladstar. Both Anne and Valerie have completed their apprentice and advance herbal certification programs. Additionally, Anne and Valerie are both instructors at the Florida school of Massage where they are an integral part of the teaching staff. They draw on their combined 26 years of teaching experience and private massage practices to create a learning environment that is heart filled, informative and fun. This weekend will serve as an introduction to 14 medicinal herbs, specifically, herbs that nourish and support the nervous system, The therapeutic action, uses and application of two groups of herbs: Nervines and Adaptogens will be thoroughly investigated. Identification of the characteristics of these herbs will be made through taste, smell, feel and appearance. During the workshop each participant will formulate and make herbally infused oils and salves to take home. Come and experience the excitement and the life of the green world.
