Hand reflexology is one of the safest and most nurturing sessions
therapists can offer their clients (and themselves!). The hands are
what we use to "grab hold of life", and relaxed, strong hands allow
us to easily reach out and grasp what life has to offer. In addition to
the full-body benefits of reflexology, this session is a practical one
for people who use their hands a lot and/or experience discomfort
in the hands/wrists. You will learn:
how to give a complete hand reflexology session for the purpose of
relaxation
simple techniques that contribute to flexibility, strength and the
elimination of pain in the hands and wrists
the history, benefits and effects of reflexology
the "zones" and "maps" of the hands
the location of primary reflexes on the hands
how and when to utilize hydrotherapy and paraffin treatments within
a hand reflexology session.
